 The average American uses 160 gallons (605 liters) a day, the average Israeli uses ~100-230 liters a day,

  Of the water used in our household ¼ goes to flush toilet

  A toilet flush uses 3 gallons or 11 liters water

 Brushing teeth running tap = 4 gallons or 15 liters; closed tap 0.25 gallons or 0.95 liter.

 A 10 minute shower = 50 gallons or 190 liters

 A laundry load = 40 gallons or 151 liters
